Free Website Programme terms.
These terms explain the standard Hello Foundry Free Website Programme. They are written for businesses, not personal or household projects. Important scope and price terms are repeated on the application page so they are not hidden here.
The accepted standard website build fee is £0. The fee for supported static hosting of that agreed standard site is £0. Your business purchases and owns its domain. A complete application may be declined or quoted if it falls outside the standard scope. Foundry starts no more than five accepted builds per Monday–Sunday week.
1. Who can apply
The programme is for genuine small businesses and authorised business representatives. The applicant must be at least 18 and able to bind the business. Foundry may ask for identity, business or authority evidence before accepting a build.
2. Application, queue and weekly capacity
The short form creates a provisional application only. Queue order starts when the detailed onboarding, applicant agreement and required information are complete. Complete applications are handled by timestamp. Foundry starts no more than five standard builds during any Monday–Sunday week. If five starts are already allocated, the next complete eligible application remains first in line for the following available cohort.
Submitting a form does not guarantee acceptance or a particular launch date. Morgan reviews business eligibility, completeness, legal or reputation risk and whether the requested work fits the standard scope.
3. When the agreement starts
The applicant electronically accepts these terms when the detailed onboarding is submitted. Foundry accepts the build only when it sends written confirmation of the agreed template, scope and cohort. Work does not start before that confirmation. The generated Word brief and agreement hash form the project record.
4. Standard free scope
- One standard scrolling business website adapted from one available Foundry template.
- Responsive implementation for current mainstream phone, tablet and desktop browsers.
- Adaptation using the business’s supplied logo, colours, accurate details and approved claims.
- Use of supplied imagery or suitable licensed stock imagery where the applicant permits it.
- Core website copy based on the completed brief, including services, proof, frequently asked questions and contact action where supplied.
- Baseline metadata, semantic headings, sitemap, structured data, robots controls and AI-readable content foundations appropriate to the standard build.
- One consolidated revision round submitted by the authorised contact.
- A source archive after launch.
- Supported static hosting of the agreed standard site at a £0 fee while it remains on Foundry’s supported static stack.
5. What the business buys or supplies
The business purchases and owns its domain and pays all registration and renewal fees. It supplies timely DNS access, legal/trading details, service facts, public contact information, logo and available assets, proof for claims, required regulatory wording, approval decisions and one consolidated revision list.
6. Excluded or separately quoted work
Unless Foundry confirms otherwise in writing, the free scope excludes extra pages; materially bespoke art direction; ecommerce; payments; memberships; customer portals; custom applications; complex forms or integrations; booking-system implementation; professional photography; paid premium assets; domain and mailbox fees; migration of unsupported systems; legal drafting; ongoing edits, care, content, SEO/AEO or support; and any functionality requiring paid third-party services.
If a request is outside the standard scope, Foundry may offer the nearest standard version, issue a separate quote or decline the build. Nothing chargeable begins without separate written acceptance.
7. Domain, source and hosting
The domain remains in the business’s own registrar account. Foundry may host the standard static output on Foundry-managed infrastructure at a £0 fee. “£0 hosting” applies to the supported standard site, not to domains, mailboxes, databases, paid APIs, ecommerce or other third-party services.
Foundry may suspend hosting for abuse, illegality, security risk, non-cooperation with urgent technical changes or a requirement that is no longer supported. Where reasonably possible, Foundry will give notice and provide the current source archive so the business can move the site. Foundry may replace an underlying hosting supplier without changing the £0 fee for the supported standard site.
8. Content, assets and approvals
The business warrants that it owns or has permission to use supplied names, logos, trademarks, images, testimonials and copy. It is responsible for the truth and legality of its products, services, prices, qualifications, licences, reviews and claims. Foundry may refuse unsupported, misleading, unlawful or regulated claims. Approval by the authorised contact confirms the business accepts the content for publication.
9. Search and AI-answer foundations
The standard build makes the site easier for search and AI systems to crawl and understand through technical and content foundations. robots.txt controls crawler access; it does not create a ranking or recommendation. Foundry does not guarantee indexing, rankings, traffic, leads, sales, AI citations or inclusion in a particular answer engine.
10. Timing, revisions and pauses
Any estimate starts after written acceptance and receipt of complete usable inputs. Delayed assets, approvals, domain access or regulatory information pause the schedule. One consolidated revision round is included. Reworking an approved direction, repeated fragmented edits or new requirements may be deferred, declined or quoted.
11. Withdrawal, refusal and termination
Either side may withdraw before Foundry’s written acceptance. After acceptance, Foundry may pause or end work for missing inputs, abusive conduct, security concerns, legal risk, misrepresentation or a request that cannot be delivered safely within the standard scope. If Foundry ends an accepted build without applicant fault, it will provide any usable completed source. No cancellation fee applies to the free standard build.
12. Liability and third parties
Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, Foundry is not responsible for indirect or consequential business loss, third-party platform changes, registrar or network outages, applicant-supplied errors, unlawful content or unauthorised changes made after delivery. The website is provided as a business service and the business remains responsible for its own legal, privacy, accessibility, tax and industry compliance.
13. Personal information and communications
Foundry uses application information to assess, plan and deliver the programme, record the project in DenchClaw CRM and ClickUp, and notify the internal operator through Telegram. Service messages about the application are separate from optional marketing. Marketing consent is optional and may be withdrawn. See the Hello Foundry privacy notice.
14. Changes to these terms
The terms version accepted in the generated project record governs that application. Foundry may publish a later version for future applicants, but will not silently replace the recorded version for an accepted build.
15. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply. Questions or scope corrections should be sent through the contact details on the application record or the Hello Foundry contact page.
